What courses are you guys taking for the following year of 2014-15 (sophmore year), and what colleges do you intend to apply to?

I’m in MA! I’m taking just bio this year, but I will be taking the SAT Subject at the end of the year. I’m not sure where I’ll apply, I’m still only a freshie!

Hi, I’m new. 2017er here!

@loveyoutoo are you going to take the satII science without taking AP bio? What are you doing to prepare for the exam, and good luck, hope your exam goes well.

@apandia I want to ask you, regarding the pre-Calc summer course, if the course gets any credits or no credits for your sophmore year.

what (if any) summer programs are you guys applying to? i’m kind of having a hard time finding programs, I’ve heard great things about CTY but it’s expensive and I would need to take the sat sooner than I can be ready for it.

@tabmas, you do get High School credits for the summer course

@chocolatelh, hey and welcome! I don’t know any summer programs as well that I may apply to, I want to try CTY, what is your SAT score (or practice)?

@tab Sorry it’s been forever! Yeah I am, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be fine. Our school recommends that we take it now, so…

Haven’t posted in a while, been busy with finals but I finished today. I am super excited. Got all A’s on my finals which brought my 85 in Honors Lit to a 90. Then in Math it brought my grade up to a 81 from a 78. Stoked for Christmas Break. Happy Holidays!

My final averages:
Alg. 2 H: 99 (106)
AP Gov: 88-89 (95-96 DAMMIT)
Chinese 2 H: 99 (106)
Bio H: 98-99 (105-106)
Lit H: 93-97 (100-104)
Engineering: 100 (no honors points)

I hate myself for AP Gov.

Finally finished with finals. I just realized that it’s been so long since I’ve been on CC…

at my school we have finals a week after we come back lol

also do you guys have any recommendation where I can take Honors Physics (online preferably)? This year I’m in Honors Bio and Chem and I’d like to take AP Chem and AP Bio my next year. I know taking AP Bio/Chem sophomore year isn’t that impressive to you guys (i mean really, all of you are amazing!) but in my school it would be the most rigorous course progression of my class. Thanks (glad to find a place where my peers care about academics as much as me)

I’m not a freshman but I thought I’d stalk…

or you could take a class at a university/CC. At my school we dont have to take physics, we can just skip to honors, so you might want to ask that (I didn’t know about it until my friend did it)

boomvoom, I wish I had the insight to take an extra class freshman year, but I didn’t. I really wouldn’t take Physics online as cool as that may sound as the intro concepts can be a bit difficult to grasp, and online may not teach you as well and as thorough. Nevertheless, I’m confident you’re a top student, so go ahead and try it online, I’m ambivalent to whether or not FLVS has it but a quick check will give you the answer. Good luck!

My grades for the first semester…

Band: 100
Digital and Interactive Multimedia: 99
PAP Biology: 99
Spanish II: 100
GT English: 99
AP Human Geography: 95
Geometry: 93

Ugh I just hate geometry

Ok. Wanna celebrate!

Here’s some advice for you all: don’t be afraid of expressing your opinions on social media, but do NOT express ALL of them.

If you don’t like your current school and you’re not doing well (academically or socially), don’t be afraid to ask your parents if they plan on moving out of your town. If they do, look up a specific town that you’d love to go to. And if they say yes but change their minds and want to go to another town, keep on pushing for what you want!

jiwonc–your stats are great! you’re only a freshman so your SAT will go up. I would work on your extracurriculars–they don’t seem very focused

How do you get a 780, the curve should give u a 770.
