@tacoperson123 You mean your school has the sequence as Algebra 1, Algebra 2, then Geometry? :o My friend’s school does it that way. It really doesn’t matter since Geometry and Algebra 2 are unrelated, but still, I read online it’s better to have the order as Algebra 1, Geometry, then Algebra 2.

If your school still does the normal sequence, that just means the kids are more ahead Like they took Pre-Algebra in 6th grade, Algebra 1 in 7th grade, and Geometry in 8th grade. It depends on the school system.

Well, they changed up the curriculum for this year. They integrated Algebra and Geometry into one class, and it’s now called Math I, Math II, and Math III. It’s really weird, but I guess it makes it easier for them or something.

Does anyone here have Common Core implemented in their schools? It’s this initiative the education department is making so that all 50 states will have the same curriculum for elementary, middle, and parts of high school. Most states have it, including mine. My school started doing the Common Core when I was in 7th grade; how about you guys?

We have common core, but I’m pretty sure that every state is trying to integrate Algebra and Geometry into one class because they are kind of interconnected.

Same! But then procrastination causes me to stay up late and it messes up my sleep schedule. I’ll stay up until 4 one night, then come home and go right to bed.

High school has been great!!! Just had my first volleyball game and lost. So happy and tired. Passed all my tests making new friends. And the guys in my school are fabulous to look at

First week of school is over! It was what I expected… english teacher gives too much work and doesn’t like me, got lost and was late to every class in my school of 1600 or so students, detest junior lunch, and high school is super serious about sports. I have a possible job as a library page that I really want. So far, my schedule has been wake up at 6 am, go to school which ends at 2:30, xc practice until 4:45 or so, go home, eat, do homework, shower, do homework. Made a bunch of upperclassmen friends from xc. No guys that are fab to look at :(
