Lol. My sister is class of 2020 and I’m jealous. :o

I love high school so far. What clubs have you joined? Is any one in sports?

High school has been okay,i feel like my classes aren’t that difficult because it doesn’t require me to put much effort to receive an A,

I was in cross country but then I got surgery and had to drop it. I’m going for Volleyball in the spring.

High School is better than middle school so far, Im doing indoor track and I’ve joined LEOs club. I feel like I should probably join more ECs but I don’t want to get too busy,

Hey! This is my first post on CC:}

I’m in high school class of 2018 as well and my schedule is:
-H Algebra I
-Study Hall (switching to an Art class second semester)
-H Biology
-H World History
-H English 9
-Spanish II
-Freshman Seminar

I’m in the highest class possible for English, Spanish, and Freshman Seminar{Bible class; probably won’t count in my transcript). I’m in the second highest class possible for Math, Science, and History.

First quarter didn’t go great… I was focused on things other than grades. It ended with a 3.83 weighted GPA, which is “HS High Honors” for my school, and the highest is “HS Highest Honors” for 3.98+. I calculated the Math and if I do really amazing second quarter I can end the semester with a 4.0 unweighted, 4.4 weighted. Let’s make it happen!!!

I’ll post my schedule too!

Ap Gov
Honors English 9
Fitness(PE)
Spanish2A
Honors Geometry
Honors Physics
Ceramics

I honestly have really weak ECs… I am kind of getting worried because I’m not doing a club or anything!

Currently my ECs are:
• Competitive swimming 6+ years with morning and evening practices, BIG COMMITMENT and I can’t do any other sports because of the time commitment
• Volunteering with an organization that pairs you up with a special needs child and you become their friend
• Serving on a religious teen board
• Yearbook Club (hoping to become an editor my senior year)

I don’t really have anything else, and the multitude of ECs all of you have is making me nervous! Haha!

@winter21 Quality over quantity ;)

Definitely, don’t worry at all about quantity of EC’s. Just find something you like, stick with it, and take it really seriously. Doesn’t necessarily have to be a club.

Here’s my schedule:

Spanish 1
H Biology
AP Government
H 9th grade literature
Symphonic Band
Personal Fitness (PE)
Geometry (1st semester)
Algebra 2 (Second semester)

ECs:
-Marching Band (takes up a lot of time - my Fridays and some of my Saturdays are completely gone, also 2 hour practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays)
-Math Team
-Science Bowl
-Tennis

I have been able to still get all A’s with these EC’s this year. However, because of the amount of time put into marching band, I’m not sure if I will be able to find time for it later on in high school, when I have more APs and such. Regardless, I think we’re going to have a good time in the next 3 1/2 years. Let’s go Class of 2018!

Hi guys!
My schedule is a little bit embarrassing but it will get better next year

Spanish 1
H. English 9
H. Biology
Food and nutrition
Algebra 2
Introduction to computer science
Self studying AP bio

Okay so Spanish 1 is pretty easy and boring. My English class is crazy. We took an AP English test and it was so hard. I got an 88% which is an A in his class but it was hard. H. Bio is amazing. Our class is very interesting. I’m studying AP bio by myself because biology is life. Computer science is really fun. We’re programming right now and I love it. So far my grades are good I have a B in math though. I’m really worried about clubs too. I’m only officially in Christian club. My other EC is volleyball. I’m trying other clubs out but they are so inconsistent!! Anyway let’s go 2018ers I all want to see you shine

Literally :))

Oooooh lol @LosingCrayon I just got what I wrote

I live in Florida but I think I want to study Psychology on the West Coast… not sure yet!
Have you thought about what you’d like to major in, or your dream school? I’m early but we’re all a bit ahead joining CC in our first year of highschool

High school is pretty good so far! For ECs I’m doing indoor and outdoor track, math team, key club, science olympiad, and multicultural club. I’m not sure if I’m going to continue science olympiad, though, because it’s incredibly unorganized at our school and I only know one person there

But also I am FREakINg oUT^1000000 because I’m taking GT US History and it’s the hardest class I’m taking… I currently have a 79.4% in it (awful I know) and the end of the grading period is next week!! And no the teacher doesn’t offer extra credit… So yeah I’m pretty much screwed

I am at boarding school -.- what is even a sleep/a social life

@dragonfruit18 Don’t worry :3 I got an 80 in Algebra for the first quarter :< Mainly because I was sick and missed two quizzes which were entered as 0’s, but I still got a B for the quarter. And also I got an 89 for English, so it’s basically impossible for me to get an A for the semester (I’m guessing same for Algebra).

@JerseyGirl999
PREACH!! You’re at Kent right? I’m at The Governor’s Academy. I don’t watch Teen Wolf anymore like what is life?

What do all of you think about self-studying an AP? I’m thinking about AP Human Geo. I have in A in the current AP that I am in, so I think I may be able to handle it, but not to sure.

That’s a good idea if you can handle it. What websites do you use to self-study
