High School Class of 2018

@HelloThereHola‌ It depends on the subject, but EOC’s are usually pretty easy  I got a perfect score on my Algebra 1 EOC (my state actually calls it ECA for some reason) but it doesn’t even matter because on my transcript it just shows that I got a Pass+, which is like a 70% maybe.

@LosingCrayon In my state, Georgia, they even changed the test. It was an EOCT last year, and it was for “Coordinate Algebra” and it was just multiple choice. This year, for “Analytic Geometry” they have changed to an EOC. And this test includes free response questions, but those aren’t as hard as people think. I made a 96 on the EOCT last year, congrats to you though :). It was still the highest grade out of the people taking it at the high school and I was an eighth grader.

I made a 97 on my Algebra I EOC xD So did my mom when she was in school. That’s kinda weird.

We need to post more, I vote for at least daily bumping.

The only problem is finding things to talk about… :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s everything in the world to talk about. So many topics! I agree wcao911

@HelloThereHola‌ I also live in Georgia! I have my Geomtry EOC-MIlestone tomorrow but I’m not too worried. I do have a lot of things to do though, studying for AP Bio and Human along with Microeconmics (which im taking next semester) as well as final exams, running everyday, and making a club :expressionless: gonna get very stressful soon.

I have this computer science class and we have to do a group project with our partner. And I got stuck with this annoying partner who is so lazy. He just watches anime and I do most of the work

@neonerudite I have my Geometry EOC- milestone tomorrow too!
And I love your user name :)

@neonerudite Also, we took the practice test for it which showed how the questions were and it was beyond easy!

@HelloThereHola‌ Wow! Getting the highest score as an eighth grader is awesome! Especially with the high school kids as well  That sounds confusing :c The state of Indiana has low education standards because to pass the Algebra 1 ECA you needed around a 30-40% maybe :P

@HelloThereHola Just took it today and I thought it was pretty quick, there were some problems I didnt understand. But I thought I did pretty good. I’m just glad it won’t count as a first semester grade, because I’m not that sure I did too well, and it would probably bring my grade down.

And thank you!

LOL @HelloThereHola, it’s a little weird how likely your situation is to mine. I also took the coordinate geometry EOCT last year! And I just took the Analytical Geometry EOC last week. It sucks that they had to change it this year from the EOCT’s. It still is pretty easy though, I’m sure you’ll do fine. As for honor band, I too am trying out this Saturday, on trombone! I got 2nd chair last year for middle school so I hope I can pull it off again… idk though… Good luck to you as well!

I just realized I said “coordinate geometry”… I meant coordinate algebra lol.

Hey guys, I’m a 18er as well!
This year seems ok, I try to balance academics with sports. I’m in varsity D1 indoor track (track, anyone?) and I kind of struggle with keeping balance. I definitely need to include study time and just over all better time management in space of school work. Most times I do my homework extremely late into the evening. Partially because of track (I arrive home at 6:30pm everyday) and partially because I’m extremely lazy, which adds up to a really bad resolve. Anyone have the same problem? If not, let me know how you guys do it!

I just found out that I’ll be getting a B in algebra 2 regardless if I get a perfect score on my final. I’m a bit depressed seeing that my 4.0 will be ruined. But I’ve pretty much accepted it. I didn’t do well in the first half and grades are worth 75% of your overall grade. But I’m still sad. But I have a question though.

Next year I’ll be taking history which means I’ll have only one elective. I wanted to choose beginning strings but with my growing love for programming I also want to do AP COMPUTER SCIENCE, which is an elective at my school. What do I do? should I take the AP online and is it the same experience?

@Cookiesandcreme‌ What anime was he watching?

@apartialhistory‌ I had the same problem when I was doing cross country in the fall. It’s seriously just about time management, and learning how to use all the time you can (guided study, locker room, mornings on the bus etc) to get our work down. Procrastination is inevitable, but really try to limit it as much as possible, turn your phone on airplane mode when you do your homework (this helps a lot, phones are a big distraction) and switch between subjects so you don’t get too bored. And use your weekends to finish assignments (weekends are so important!) good luck at track and school :)

@neonerudite Thanks! How’s school going? I’m taking my midterms on January 20-23 and I’m terrified, frankly.

@neonerudite I took it and it was harder than last year. Time went by quick, but it wasn’t too bad. I almost didn’t finish
