@NP4life Are you me? That’s creepy :)) And I get the honor band results back tomorrow!

@NP4life And we’re both taking Precalculus next year as sophomores! We are twins.

@HelloThereHola Haha ikr! Just got the results back for band. There were only 6 chairs for trombone this year in my district! I got first alternate… Kinda sucks but at least there is still hope. Most of the people who made it were sophomores anyways, only 2 freshman got in (5th and 6th chair). Did you do well?

@apartialhistory varsity indoor track as a freshman? congrats! I do indoor track too but I’m not on varsity I get home at 5:00 every day instead of 6:30. How long are your practices? At my school, everyone (both varsity and not varsity) has a one and a half hour long practice. We split up the sprinters and the distancers into two separate groups after warm-up. I’m more of a sprinter, but a longer distance sprinter, like 200s, not 55s. Are you more into sprints or distance? I’m also finding it pretty hard to balance track, school, and all my other extracurriculars while getting enough sleep. At our school though, we have this thing called break two times a week, which is basically a 20 minute break period between classes to do homework, socialize, or ask for help from teachers. I generally do whatever homework I didn’t finish the night before during that time. It also helps if you prioritize your homework from what’s due the next day and then other stuff you have more time to complete. That way, you can get the stuff you need to get done first, so in case you don’t have enough time to finish everything, the work that’s due later can be done another time.

hey!
I’m in the class of 2018 too. I have a lot of musical extracurriculars like chamber and theatre, and I barely have time to study. Everyone else in my classes gets A’s on everything while I feel average:/

Hello fellow freshmen?

@tchaikovskys You’re not alone! I couldn’t give up any of my two music electives from junior high, so now I have no space in my schedule and have to take an extra class online. It wouldn’t have been much of a problem if I hadn’t also signed up for my school’s T-STEM program and filled up my last elective slot for four whole years. :-<
Time management is a struggle for me too, but I have learned how to deal with it. I have swim practice at 5:30am and also later that night from maybe 7-9pm (I am a club swimmer) so that’s not too much time to sleep. I just try to get all of my busy work done at school, so at home I just have to study!
What’s up freshman
Hi there! Class of 2018 here.
Freshman year has been hectic but however the year is halfway done only 3 more months to go!
Hey
Am I the only one that’s thought high school is easier than middle?
Middle school was super easy for me, High school is definitely harder. Only two more months of school though! AP Exams are drawing nearer though…
Only 3 months left! Then 3 more years…
Anyone applying for summer programs?
@Kelvin82 I’m looking to apply for an engineering or math program, I just don’t know which programs though.
@Kelvin82 I’m attending the GU Medical Institute. Are you applying for anything?
Freshmen Year is going by quick… We already pick our courses for next year
I know!! Everything happened faster than expected. I felt really disappointed to not be picking a summer program because of a lack of financial aid. But I’m traveling abroad this summer so it makes up for it.
@LBelle43 i applied for COSMOS. Congratulations on being accepted! Did GU Medical Institute offer any financial aid?
@andrewoz9 you can apply to COSMOS or CTY
