What was your individual scores? @Phantomlink

@ShatteredEyes
Math: 36
Writing: 47
Critical Reading: 45

I won’t be taking the PSAT until next year lol. There is no way that I would break 150 right now.

I’m taking the PSAT on Thursday

I really need a GPA so that I can participate in the clubs that I’m interested in :-/

Ew, they don’t let you into clubs until you have a GPA? That’s absurd.

There are clubs that I can join without a GPA, but the ones that I want to join (Beta Club, Key Club, Mu Alpha Theta), require a 3.5 weighted GPA. I will not have a GPA until the end of this quarter, which does not end until October 22nd. :((

I can’t wait to have my GPA either, though. It appears that I’m either tied for val or whatever place is next if there’s a tie. My weighted should be a 4.5, highest possible of all the people I know is a 4.583, meaning Honors English, math, biology, foreign language, and another elective, and then AP Human Geography. The sophomore val had a 4.667 due to taking AP Bio and no gym, which is weighted standard. I should have one by Friday.

My prospective GPA will be 4.375 (Three honors classes and gym) this semester. By the end of next semester, regarding that I maintain all A’s, my GPA will be a 4.4375. I have four honors classes second semester, so my total is seven honors and gym. If I had taken a Project Lead the Way class (weighted as AP/5.0), my GPA would be a 4.5. I know of a few kids that are taking the PLTW class, but they have B’s in other classes, so >:). If they do manage to outrank me, I should be in the top five. If not, Val or Sal is mine >:)

I should share the first or second rank. But Friday is sooooo far away… Best of luck to you too.

Hey guys just saw this thread! I too am a member of the highschool class of 2019 who is aspiring to gain acceptance into top universities. My EC’s are as follows
JV soccer
Vex Robotics
FIRST Robotics
Spanish Club
Habitat for humanity club
Do you think I should join any other clubs? What clubs are you in?

I am in Interact club, I feel that packing up on clubs to look good, is pointless. I will be fine going to a State University, even though I aspire to go to a top university also. Oh, I am the vice president, it is fun. Wanted to be in our schools Gay club, but I almost slapped someone when they rudely tore down their poster -_- People can be so rude and idiotically biased. I am still trying to join though. My vice principal does not want to switch me into the club so that I will not get dubbed “Gay.” I am fine with that though, the members are extremely nice to everyone

Dude, see if your school’s GSA can change into a morning club. At my school, literally nobody has to know if you’re in it. It’s great. We’re making posters next week and if somebody tears those down, I’ll tear THEM down. laughs maniacally

We also have GSA and Interact Club. You have to be invited into Interact Club for showing inherently nice social skills.

We do not call it GSA, we just call it the Gay Club or the Rainbow club. Interact is a nice hands on club, I enjoy it. We did not have to be invited, you just have to show interest. It was either Key club, NHS, or something else. Half of the school is in Key club --, so I chose Interact. I feel you XD How are your grades looking? My grades are a little eh, with a side of doom right now :’( I have high A’s in all of them except for 2 classes :’( and one of them is a 92 :’( she does not want to give another test, even though all of 9th grade would benefit from it. My other class… well let’s say make sure you sight text evidence thoroughly, like every single time. Oh, stay away from the rowdy bunch, I almost got 1000 sentences from just sitting near them, like really teacher -- I was not talking or throwing things -_-

At my school, you only have to be accepted to honors societies. For some clubs that are competitions, like Science Bowl, you can show up even if you’re not on the team. You do have to have a permission slip though, with only 2 exceptions: GSA and SSA.

My averages range from 99 to 101. I only have four classes though.

Nice. I have a 94 in Geometry, a 92 in German, a 99 in Lifetime Wellness, a 98 in Biology, no grade in Strings (great job Craig), a 97 in English, and a 95 in APHG.

Nice. So far everything has been too easy. My worst class is Comm. Skills Honors, but it is my highest grade. Probably the vocab tests…

I have all A’s in my 4 honors core classes but have an 89% in my art class. I am artistically challenged :)) lol
