I’m in 9 ECs this year. I plan on starting another next year.

Well dang…

I tried to plan out my schedule, but I ultimately failed.

Same here. My school offers both AP and IB and even though I have a while before I decide, I want to start panning now but have no idea which one I’m going to do.

Me: I should do all of my APHG homework.
Me: binge-watches all of RWBY instead

Lol. I am nervous because I just turned in a paper, but if the margins are incorrect we get a 0.

Could you guys help me with an issue? I am debating on whether to take honors or regular english for my second trimester. More details in link!

@thatone1 I dont know about in your county, but in mine honors classes, instead of having a 4.0 gpa, they have a 5.0. I would recommend you study hard and stay in honors, colleges don’t like to see students slack off, many look for academic rigor. Try to stick in there.

@IrrationalPepsi That sounds…

                                                                                                      irrational.

GAHHHHH THE NEW RWBY EPISODE IS A CLIFFHANGER

SO GLAD THE QUARTER IS OVER! I ended with straight A’s (thank god for the new 10 point grade scale!). I think all my classes are fairly easy so far. My most difficult class would definitely be Math, I hate math =;

@adiacs I live in NC, too. I liked the old scale, but I am not complaining lmao

So I think the Science Olympiad coach at the middle school doesn’t hate me anymore…

yay

I go to a public school in Southern California, and the entire district is VERY competitive.

Elementary schools: Kids study like mad to be put in advanced groups (like seriously. Chill.)

Middle schools: There are 3 subjects where there are advanced classes (math, English, and history) and most kids are in 2 or 3 honors courses; I was only in advanced math (honors geometry) last year and I can safely say that most kids were also in English or history advanced courses and MathCounts and/or Sci Oly… And I was one of the 2 kids out of 80 something kids in honors geo last year that was only in advanced math. Also clubs like NHD and Geo Bee (which I was both in) seems to be underrated compared to the STEM teams mentioned above.

High schools: Ok I go to the worst performing, least competitive school in the entire district (yes, it’s true) but PLENTY of kids are in all honors courses, some even took the honors science course (biology) in summer school and now takes chemistry with the sophomores and juniors. Even though I’m in honors science and math it doesn’t seem like enough to get into a decent college. Besides, while I’m struggling in math, all my friends say it’s easy, while I barely have a B-. People who are in honors humanities say that it’s a lot of work and it sucks, I still want to take it, because while they don’t even like humanities, (math/science people) I genuinely like history and English, but got told no by both of my 8th grade humanities teachers because apparently ppl who don’t participate won’t be able to survive in honors courses. :///

I wonder how it’s like in other, more competitive high schools…

So there were rumors of a shooting threat yesterday and today. At the end of second period, the principal came over the intercom to tell us that the rumors of the shooting and the hit list (which has been circulating online) were false. It took her about 30 seconds to get to the point, and even then it sounded like she was being forced to read a script. Scary :open_mouth:

@awesomepolyglot At a nearby highschool there was a bomb threat and then two days after there was a bomb threat in my old middle school X_X

Yeah, the same thing happened in my school district. There was even one at an elementary school :-0
