High School Class of 2021

@CavsFan2003 Oof. Still on the bench about USABO because of the time commitment and how grueling studying is. We did use Campbells AP Bio textbook for my Bio class last year, hopefully that provides some sort of leverage in study time.

@wontonandrice actually not taking a bio class this year, unless I get Adv. bio to fit in my schedule but it isnt likely. They dont even offer AP Bio at my school which is slightly irritating but our science department head offered to help me study after school once or twice a week, so that’s nice.

@cavsfan323 @scenicstars @wontonandrice also, I’m trying to persuade our school to add a couple copies of Campell’s 11th edition to our school library but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. If you guys want a PDF version of it, I would gladly email it to you. I actually got it from another CC’er and want to pass on the kindness lol.

@destinedforND I would really appreciate it!

@destinedforND i would immensely appreciate that!! thank you! my school’s most recent edition of the campbell textbook is the 2nd one so that’d definitely be a huge help lol.

@CavsFan2003 @scenicstars pm me your email addresses and I’ll s

Ayy I got a job at Taco Bell today! It’s only 15 hours a week at minimum wage but it’s something and one of my best friends work there! I’m so happy

@CavsFan2003 dude i love Taco Bell that’s so cool lol! just out of curiosity, is the minimum legal age to to work at Taco Bell in your state below 16?

@scenicstars Yup! I’m only 15 and there are quite a few other 15 year olds working here:

@CavsFan2003 oh wow!! that’s pretty cool— where i live all the big chain restaurants require you to be 16 to work haha.

@destinedforND can you please email me a copy as well. I PMed you my email address. Thank you!

Ahhh school starts on September 3rd! I’ve been pretty lazy with my summer tbh, just a whole lot of travel + the Summa Cum Laude International Music Festival with my orchestra- we won 1st although it’s not that huge a deal because I got moved to the back of first violin after coming home from boarding school  other than that, I took a semester of world history (I have 1 full credit now) and the first semester of AP Psych. I’m kind of nervous because I feel like online learning definitely isn’t for me (excluding Khan Academy, which does help a lot). You all have been so busy with your summers (and you’re all so smart, can someone teach me math/physics? I’ll be in precalc + physics this year and I can already feel myself dying). I’m envious of you guys that have APs at your school; we only have AP Calc and Stats. My ECs this year will be Admissions Ambassador (self-explanatory?), International Liaison (kind of like an RA at a dorm, especially focusing on international students), FC Ambassador (philanthropy), and Quiz Bowl. I honestly don’t know what I’m doing with my life and I do nothing but worry about it all day.

On another note, I’ve been watching a lot of TV. Lol rip

@pointelessness “honestly don’t know what I’m doing with my life and I do nothing but worry about it all day.” Oof are you me?

Anyway if we’re going through our ECs I wanna share too! So my main one is my school’s Science Olympiad, which I am the founder and Captain of. I’m doing Boomilever, Sounds of Music, Water Quality, Mousetrap Vehicles, and Write It Do It. I’m taking a heavier load in case we can’t get 15 members. I’m on the JV Bowling team. I’m garbage but bowling is so chill and fun so it doesn’t matter. I’m on DECA, too, and I’m doing Sports and Entertainment Marketing Operations Research. Apparently it’s super easy to make states from my region so I’m pretty excited for that. Spell Bowl is probably one of my easier commitments, but I can tell my team will go pretty far, and they’re all friends, so I’m excited for this, too. I just got hired at Taco Bell but that’s basically a weekend and maybe 2 hours on weekdays thing until I turn 16. I have an internship coming up with a semi-pro sports team but I’m pretty sure that my schedule can bend around it and it’d be later at night, anyway. Lastly, I have Student Council which is pretty chill. I do need to sign up for 2 more committees this semester or we get kicked out so I need to sign up for another one. I’m. Busy.

Hi everyone, I recently joined this website and just found this forum! I begin my sophomore year on September 5th. Could I get come input on my schedule? My plan is to major in Nursing in college.

Algebra 2 Honors
AP United States History
English 2 (Regular)
Biology Honors
Spanish 3 Honors + College Credit
Study Hall
Health/General Business (1 semester each)

I’m glad I found some fellow sophomores who are just as driven and interested about college as I am!

Also if anyone is planning on going into the med field and is doing any extra curricurlars that involve that would you post what those are? Thanks

What’s everyone’s dream school? Mine is Columbia

@lumen3141 Mine is Vanderbilt!

Did anyone else take the SAT yesterday? I feel really confident! I think I got a 1450ish.

@lumen3141 Mine is U of Michigan! And @cavsfan2003 Mine was Vandy too until I learned they don’t offer a bsm program!!

@CavsFan2003 I took the SAT Subject Test for World History! Since it’s my first one, I’m hoping for at LEAST a 690 on the first try.

@lumen3141 Mine is UChicago! And have you taken the AP World course yet?
