Hey guys, what math and science classes are most useful for a Biotechnology major?
In freshmen year, I have taken:
-Biology
-Algebra 2 Honors
In sophomore year, I am currently taking:
-Chemistry Honors
-Precalculus Honors
-AP Computer Science
For junior and senior year, I get two choose two science classes from the list below:
-AP Biology ( I assume this would be pretty much required)
-AP Chemistry
-Physics
-AP Physics C
-Human Anatomy and Physiology (a class learning ALL about the functions of the human body and stuff, challenging and has a lot of applied biology and chemistry to learn about the human body)
For math, I have these options (two):
-Calculus
-AP Calculus AB
-AP Calculus BC (the class that is supposed to be taken after Precalculus Honors)
-Statistics
-AP Statistics
I think I am completely capable in all of these classes (except maybe AP Physics C which is notoriously hard at my school).
Which classes would you recommend. I would normally be taking AP Calculus BC next year, but I was just thinking "Why take such a hard AP Calculus BC class when i wouldnt need it, and when I could be spending more time studying what I like in my free time (biotech in this case).
Any feedback is welcome, and please ask me questions if I am unclear about anything. Thanks!
