Do courses you take in high school and how you do in them affect what you major in during college? For example, would not taking a course in Psychology (or taking it and doing poorly in it), although Psychology and AP Psychology are offered in my high school, affect the possibility of me majoring in Psychology in college?

You can major in anything you want in college. That is the really cool thing about college! It is a complete fresh start! It does not matter what you took in high school or how well you did in those classes. Except to maybe reveal what you have an interest in…or not have an interest in.
Some of your AP classes may count for credit in college…that will vary by school and degree.

Good luck!
