High school courses for BME?

Currently my schedule for my senior year is:
AP Biology
AP Chem
AP Calc BC
AP Physics C
English 12

I only have room for one more course, would it be better to take AP Stats or AP Computer Science if I plan on going into BME or medicine? (Only AP’s of these courses are offered at my school) Thanks

You’re planning to take 5 STEM classes and English for senior year, including all 3 AP sciences? What about social science and foreign language? No econ/government to fulfill graduation requirements?

I’m taking AP Econ this year and already have my language 12 requirement.

5 STEM classes is way too lopsided for top schools, who want to see at least one of each core subject (English, math, science, social science, and language) each year.

You don’t need every AP science course to be a BME major. They want to know you can handle the rigor of the curriculum, not that you have a single-minded scientific death wish. Take whichever interests you more, or take something else completely. I took an intro painting class fall of my senior year because I ended up with a free spot. Best class choice I made - found a new hobby and it was a great stress relief.

Yeah, I would agree that you may want to take a breather. You don’t have to take 3-4 AP science classes. That sounds like overkill, and like stress.

To answer your question, it really doesn’t matter. Both classes are good but, other than making sure you are in a good place in math, you don’t really need your high school classes to prep you for any specific major.
