Do most colleges look for four years for an foreign language in high school? If so, do they also require a foreign language credit to graduate?

I'm debating atm whether to take College Spanish for college credit, regular Spanish (Not sure if colleges need foreign language credit, pursing a business major), or dropping Spanish and taking Statistics instead.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it helps at all I looked at my state schools:

1 requires 3 years, 4 for some degrees
1 requires 0 years for BSes, 4 for BAs
1 requires 3 for some, 2 (including HS) for others

Personally, I just took 3 college Spanish courses, dropped the 4th.

^WHOA, your state schools actually require 3-4 years of foreign language? That’s insane… no one from my high school would get into your state schools if that was the case. I thought virtually all colleges only require take 2 years.

^
No I mean that to earn an actual degree there you must take foreign language through level 3 or 4 for many degrees. 2 years are required for admissions though.

Wait, 2 years of college spanish? O_O They only offer it for seniors here =/

2 years of high school Spanish… calm down. lol
