This question is directed primarily at high school seniors who were accepted to Vanderbilt.

How exactly does Vanderbilt calculate GPA for applicants? I know that they use a 4 point scale, but on that scale, are A-'s 3.7 instead of 4.0, B-'s 2.7 instead of 3.0, etc?

I don’t think they ever really told us what our new calculated GPA was. However, I know that the average class rank for 2017 was 3.4%~ish. So be in the top 5% of your class for a good shot.

Okay, thanks for the response. I’m in the top 2% of my class, so by your criteria, I should have a shot.
