I did really bad in high school and I am about to start community college, and I was wondering if I try to transfer to UCLA or UC Berkeley, would they look at my high school grades as well when considering admission?

At UCB no. http://opa.berkeley.edu/statistics/cds/2010-2011.pdf Section D

At UCLA probably in the first year. http://www.aim.ucla.edu/CDS/cdsForm.asp

No. They don’t even ask for your hs transcript until after you’re admitted. Even then, your grades won’t matter.

if you’re applying as a transfer student then no, they don’t even ask you to submit your high school transcripts.

^some do. Uci asked me for mine after I was admitted. It’s usually a formality or to check for your foreign language requirement.
