High School Grades Vs. Ranking? What's more important

<p>I'm applying as a transfer student and I was wondering whether high school grades are more important than high school ranking. I went to a prestigious private school in a foreign country where I managed to graduate in the Top 10%, however, my grades are not that good.</p>

<p>i think it depends on the school. I someone in my school has a 91 average and they’re ranked about 200 out of 700. A 91 is pretty solid yet the rank is on the low side.</p>
