High School Grades Vs. Ranking? What's more important

<p>I'm applying as a transfer student and I was wondering whether high school grades are more important than high school ranking. I went to a prestigious private school in a foreign country where I managed to graduate in the Top 10%, however, my grades are not that good.</p>

<p>I would guess that both are equally important. The importance of your school’s ranking largely depends on how good the students are in your school as indicated by your school’s API score. Highly prestigious high schools are 800+. Normal high schools are usually between 700~750.</p>
