do they take into consideration when you took a certain test? for example, i took the ACT sophomore year and i got a 34, but i haven’t retaken yet this year. and by 34+ and 2300+ scores, if you have exactly 34 and 2300 r u good?
also, when do the first round of admissions come around?

Is it alright if we have it postmarked, so long as the application gets to them?

I think it has to be postmarked before the 15th not received. I know in some places it says received, but on the announcement form itself, it says in caps lock that it has to be postmarked by then. Good luck everyone! Seems like a lot of people are applying this year!

I emailed them and confirmed POSTMARKED

Is it bad that I’m sending all my stuff on Saturday but one of my teachers sent in his rec for me weeks ago? Should I include a note to Dr. Richmond explaining this? Thanks.

does anybody know if they said confirmation letters once your application arrives?

What books did you guys write your essays on?

Calvin and Hobbes. I thought it was decent though

God that sounds really sick haha. I LOVED Calvin and Hobbes as a child.

Did you guys make it clear which essay you were writing by saying Essay 1 or Essay 2 on it or something similar? Also did you guys send all your stuff at the same time or separately?

Erm just one more question… (I know I’m being really annoying right now sorry) Should I send in SAT subject tests and/or olympiad results? I know the essays are the big part but will those help too? (or does Dr. Richmond not want them?)

@Audrae, I dont know the answers to your questions, but out of curiositiy which Olympiad have you taken?

@Messifan07 bio. it came out today although its “just” semis

To the people that asked, postmarked by March 15th is fine.

@Audrae Yes! Send in SAT subject tests and your olympiad results. I emailed her last year, and she said I could send them in. I also sent in AP test scores. Btw, congrats on bio olympiad!

@Hcsa44 Thanks! How should I submit olympiad result? I know I can print score report for SAT subjects, but I don’t know what to do for olympiad.

@Audrae Ah nice!

@Audrae How were you notified? You could probably print out the email or website with the score or letter. I think there have been people who have emailed Dr. Richmond (after apps were due) about USAMO and just requested an update to their application.

@Hcsa44 its just a page called “View Your Scores” on the CEE website in the Student Resource Center after I log in. All it says is “Open. Score: 29.50. Status: Semifinalist”. You have to look at the small print at the top of the screen just to see it’s bio olympiad. Should I just print this page and mail it with everything else? I just can’t figure out how to prove I actually made semis.

And just one more question haha sorry I keep bugging you. Is it okay if our SAT and SAT subject test score reports aren’t official? Like it says “NOT AN OFFICIAL SCORE REPORT” in all caps on it. I can’t figure out how to get my scores printed without this.

Has anyone received a confirmation letter yet?

Yes just got a confirmation email. It says they have received the application materials.
