I got an 2090 on the SAT
My weighted GPA for sophomore and junior year is 4.1 total, 3.45UW
Which I know is low, but my grades consistently improved, going from a 3.7 to 4.1 to 4.3 to 4.5
and my UW for 2nd semester junior year is 4.0

Will my poor performance sophomore year hurt me a lot when it comes to admissions? Or does the fact that it shows improvement lessen the blow?

For example, would love to go to USC, UCLA, UCSD, and UCB (obviously a reach)

Thanks for any input!

P.S. no sports, but president of a club and commissioner of another, plus tons of community service

you will have to keep in mind how difficult UC admissions were this year. unless you cure cancer from now until you apply they are all reaches, but assuming u live in SoCal (as do I) you would be much safer doing a 2-year transfer program at a CC.

regarding sophomore year, yes it will hurt you A LOT. most colleges ignore freshman year but not sophomore and the improvement thing only works for like only 2Bs freshman to only 1B sophomore no straight As junior and senior
