High School Research on a College App

So, during my junior year, I conducted research at my high school. I'd like to submit this to colleges when I apply, but I won't have my final paper done until the end of this year (my research is continuing through graduation, and my paper as well as a proposal to the science board at my HS will take place as a "final") Will an abstract suffice? How did you/will you submit any research you may have done?

bumping this!

Not only will an abstract suffice, but it’s generally all a college will be interested in seeing. They don’t have time to read research papers. Just let them know your research is continuing.

i figured as much, but i just wanted to check that they wouldnt see it as being unfinished. Like, they would think that if I didn’t have more proof, the work might not be as extensive as it is made out to be.
