High school scheduling plan for the next 3 years

I’m currently a freshman, no APs are allowed until sophomore year. This is what I want to take for the next 3 years but my councelor thinks it’s to much, even though a few of my teachers said it would be a good fit for me since I’m excel academically. She ended up saying I could do them if I got my parents to sign off each year, which they agreed to as long as I keep my grades up. But do you guys think it’s to much? Academics are really easy for me. My geography teacher this year even thinks I should self-study more next year (he will help me once a week after school) and take the AP Human Geography exam next year on my own.

Freshman:

  • Geography (required, no honors or ap offered)
  • PE (required)
  • Honors English 9
  • Honors Algebra 2 (started algebra 1 as a 7th grader, those from middle school transfer over)
  • Honors Biology
  • Spanish 3/4 (took 1/2 in middle school, it transfers over)
  • Band 1 (7th period, and I played 2 years in middle school as well)
  • Health (summer break, required class)

Sophomore:

  • AP World History
  • PE (required ugh)
  • Honors English 10
  • Honors PreCalc
  • Honors English 10
  • Honors Chemistry
  • Honors Spanish 5/6
  • Band 2 (7th period)
  • AP Human Geography (self study with current geography teacher)

Junior:

  • APUSH
  • AP Biology
  • AP Lang
  • AP Calc AB
  • AP Spanish Lang
  • Honors Physics
  • Band 3 (7th period)

Senior:

  • AP Government
  • AP Economics
  • AP Calc BC
  • AP Physics C
  • AP Lit
  • AP Chemistry
  • Band 4 (7th period)

I will have 13 APs and 9 Honors credits.

It depends on your own abilities. You’re a freshman. A lot can change in the next couple of years, so I think it’s pointless to look at the jr/sr schedules in too much depth. Your sophomore schedule looks fine (although I personally think APHG is a waste of time), and your performance next year will help guide whether you can pull of the schedules in the following years.

I agree with the above poster. APHG is a waste of time. Doesn’t carry much weight. Take other classes that may be more important, or join some clubs instead of spending time there.
