I want to apply to colleges in high school and then request a deferal for 2 years for the army. the only problem is that I read that I must have the israeli matriculation (bagrut) exams results and have a certificate when I apply, but you only get it when you complete 12th grade so how does that make sense? will they let me give them regular report cards since I won't have the certificate yet?

Yes, give them regular report cards from the 9th, 10th and 11th grades. Can your teachers provide predicted grades for the Bagrut exams? That's what teachers do in Singapore.

ohhh I see, thanks. I think teachers will be able to because they have to provide a predicted grade for some subjects anyway..and I could request them to for the rest, I think. how do I translate the report cards? and also, does it hurt my chances if I don't have official results from the bagrut?

It doesn't hurt at all. Is bargut the only exam, or you have had some other exams like in 10th grade etc.? We do A levels, and submit predicted scores. Nothing hurts! Btw, remember the SATs!

oh we have exams a few times every year and then the teacher gives us the final grade in the report card. but there aren't any officail exams except for the bagrut in all the subjects. when do you usually take the SATs?

I took the SATs in December of 11th grade.
