A couple of my friends and I were debating today at lunch how far a persons high school senior grades would have to drop to be un-admitted to the University of Pittsburgh.

I have all "B's" and am taking 2 AP classes 2 honors and 2 regular classes, is that pushing my luck?
I was already accepted and I have enrolled.

My cousin is a freshman pharmacy student at Pitt this year. Last year, she had a grade slipping to a C and she was worried it would hurt her admissions. She called Pitt and asked them questions concerning senior year grades and how much they care about them. The guy simply stated, “We don’t care. As long as you don’t fail.”

So I would call and ask them if you’re really concerned.

A friend who was accepted early to a different school said that they required a 3.0 by the time of graduation (i.e. every quarter/semester post-acceptance and total/overall). My counselor’s general rule was to not do worse than how you applied (i.e. don’t slip), if you do, I’d guess than anything below a 3.0 overall is probably going to look a little bad.

i called pitt and was talking to them about senior year grades. they mentioned things like making sure that i was preparing myself to move onto the next level of education, but then i mentioned them actually rescinding the admission and he said “you have nothing to worry about”
