High School Senioritis

There is always discussion on how to get rid of senioritis but I’m wondering how anyone who is experiencing senioritis or remembers it dealt with the “affliction”? Did having a busy schedule keep senioritis at a minumum? Also did/does having aspirations for an academy also keep senioritis from distracting you too much?

Senioritis doesn’t really apply to me at the moment but just preparing for next year;) I can almost feel the onset of it…

Apologies... Found a similar thread shortly after I started this one http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/air-force-academy-colorado-springs/329031-senioritis.html?highlight=Senioritis

Academy hopes kept Senioritis at bay until the end of the first semester. Now I find myself succumbing to it more and more every day. Not that my grades are suffering all that much, I've just noticed that since it's so late in the year I'm a lot less motivated than I was just a few months ago. There's no use trying to "get rid of it," just remember to be more proactive in reminding yourself to keep your grades up until the very end! You'll be fine.

I kept myself very busy, that helped me avoid it. My 2nd semester senior grades were better than first even! Graduated all A's there. Not that it mattered lol.

Yeah for me, I am keeping busy like hornetguy so its not a problem. You just can't forget that what you do now will determine how you start at the Academy (validation of classes etc.) So for me, I am making sure that I do my best in classes that will make be competitive when I get there, so the academic transition isn't a shock. Basically in all of my AP classes, especially my bc calc class, I try to do my best.

Very true, my senior year AP tests allowed me to validate Biology (VERY worth it), English and 2 semesters of Math. ;) Work hard, and it pays off very nicely!

I just feel like I'm ready to get out of high school and start doing things that will help my career. I don't know if thats my form of "junioritis" or just me being antsy.

:) You'll have plenty of time to develop your career.

Ha, ya. I probably need to sit back and enjoy the remaining short years of my youth :)

you're best years are still to come.

UNcynical told me this some time ago. While your friends in civilian colleges will lament their graduation as their best days are over, yours will just be beginning.
