High School Sophomore chances for COLUMBIA

Hi everyone,
I am currently a high school sophomore at an elite private school in Philadelphia. GPA's are unweighted and there is no class rank. All regular classes here are advanced/honors classes at most private schools as well as all public high schools. My dream schools are Columbia, Stanford, McGill and Penn. I currently have a professor at Columbia with whom is a mentor to me who is willing to write a recommendation for when I am applying in two years. I am also quadruple legacy at Penn and my grandmother works in the Education department

these are my freshman grades from last year. I had many mental health issues over the year that had caused me to stray from my work (i.e. depression, bullying, etc...) I know this is no excuse but here they are
Geometry: C-
Biology: D
English 9: C+
Spanish 2: C
Ancient History: B+

These are my current grades for this quarter at my new and current school

Algebra 2: B+
Physics: B+
History: A
English 10: A-
Spanish 2: A

My extra curriculars include
-Women's club
-Support for positive body image
-My school's news paper (Which has one awards for being the best student news paper in Philadelphia)
-literary magazine
-Model UN

I am a three sport athlete and I intend to row in college
Fall sport: Cross Country
Winter: Squash
Spring: Crew

2k PR: 8:10 (I intend to get this sub 8:00 by the spring)
Height: 5'3
I will be rowing varsity for one of the best rowing teams in the city as a sophomore and I have been coached by Penn's head coach over the summer for the past two years.

I want to major in journalism so if anyone can suggest a school with a journalism program that would be awesome

I am completely stressed out about this process please help!!!

I also forgot to add that I got a 175 on the PSAT

Columbia has a very specific curriculum. Do you really want that?

If you get into Penn, you can join the DP and apply to create your own major. But I have real doubts about your ability. First you need remedial grammar and spelling (not good for a potential writer).

Lately Penn has rejected more legacies than they’ve accepted. Again, not promising.

Temple has a decent journalism program with a huge regional alumni network.
