High School Transcript

So, I've received mixed answers on this question. So I decided to ask the admissions counselor at UCI.

Do I need my high school transcript even if i didn't use high school to fulfill any requirements (units, foreign language, etc.)?

Even my own JC counselor told me I didn't need to get my high school transcript. So I decided to verify with Kim Perry, the UCI admissions counselor, and she said:
"Yes, you must send in a high school transcript.
It is required to clear your admissions."

Why is it necessary to send in a high school transcript?

possibly for residency purposes? I dont know. Cal asked for one. I didn’t question them.

Are you set on going to uci? ucla didn’t ask for my high school transcripts.

“UCLA needs official transcripts from all institutions you have attended. (Unless specifically requested in your Provisional Admission Contract, we do not require a high school transcript.)”

[Sending Official Records - Transfer Students - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/newbruins/Offl_Rec_Transfer.htm)

Yes I suppose it just depends on the school in particular. Last year for UCLA, they probably would have asked for it since you could get away with taking HS Chemistry to complete a Psychology pre-req…:/

I was wondering the same thing. I’m going to my HS tomorrow to pick it up. I don’t see why they would need them if the course work doesn’t matter. Maybe they want to make sure we graduated? lol I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry.

yes, they want to see that you graduated. i wonder how they long to process it because its been over a week since mine has reached. ://… it still says “not recieved” online.
