I just got accepted to UCB and I am wondering why in da heck do they need everybody's HS transcripts...My personal opinion: maybe for stats in order to see which CC students from which HS transferred to CAL and then maybe focus on these High Schools for fresmen? idk....if anybody has a better idea...let me know.

Additionally, anybody who is an Econ major: the way I understood is that we have to take 2 classes at CAL (Stats with calc base, and Macro or Micro theory) before we get accepted into the major with a 3.0 GPA. Anybody else concerned? I mean lets be honest. The Econ 1 and 2 classes at the JC were a joke...I wonder if somebody could tell me how hard it is to get into the Econ program and how their first semester went as an Econ transfer. feel free to share your thoughts....

don't they check the hs transcripts to see if you've completed your foreign language req? is berkeley the only one that asks for hs transcripts?

um, actually...you have to take econ 1 and 2 (macro and micro) for it to count as 1 econ course at berk... if you took both, u dont have to retake an econ course there

lackofsense, I have completed the language requirement at the JC. I indicated that in my application. So if they know that I have not satisfied the language requirement in High School and I tell them that I didn't why ask for them??

Anice Breaker: i know that. I took Econ 1 and 2 at JC but those are the intro courses, the theory courses are all upper division.
