high school transcript!

UCB-requires high school transcript
UCLA-does not require high school transcript

what's up with this?

I think UCSD also requires our hs transcript...I don't get why we would need it...and I don't particularly want to go get it...it's pain in the butt trying to find someone to help you in a timely manner at my old high school...

i'm going to ask this admissions rep at berkeley today when i talk to her. i'll keep you posted.

im going to UCLA this fall but it seem like they don't need HS transcript... strange...

Berkeley requires HS transcript for everyone. Don't ask me why I have no idea, but they do.

P.S. It won't affect your admission, it's just for records keeping.

Torrance: It's for the foreign language if you chose HS over CC. UCLA doesn't require foreign language

o really? i didnt know that UCLA does not require foreign language... good info!

The high school transcripts assist in not only Language Other than English placement (if you took a language course in high school you might only be able to take some UC language courese for p/np grades) but also the American History and Institutions requirement.

If I took four semesters of foreign language and an American government course that satisfies the American History and Institutions requirement at CC, do I still have to submit my high school transcripts?

JBright: Depends on what college you're going to

Lackofsense: I'm going to UCSD in the fall.

UCD Admis, I attended HS just for a year where I took Government and Econ. Does this satisfy American History and Institutions?

The courses could complete the requirement. More information about what meets the requirement can be found at UC Davis General Catalog | University Requirements

I got accepted into UCD from a local community college, however, I never actually finish HS, so i dont have my Hs transcript...should I go take the GED test right away? or is there any other way around it...I completed all the CC requirement to get IN UCD, both english and MAth...

I would send in any transcripts from high school showing courses that you completed. Again the high school records are only reviewed to see what courses you completed; they are not reviewed for GPA or other academic information.
