High School Transfers Admissions Effects

Hiya, I'm looking for advice as to whether I should transfer schools, and I'd like to thank you all very much for reading.

Tl;Dr version: As a rising senior, I want to switch highschools to one that calculates my GPA a lot higher than my current. Is there a reason I shouldn't?

Just background, I am hispanic, a rising senior, and applying to "Arts and Sciences" subschools.
I am lookin to apply ED to Northwestern the coming November. I am considering transfering high schools before that, from the best school in my area (admissions included 4 Ivy and 7 top-20's for last year's 60-person senior class) to the second best school in my area that is still quite respected (faculty includes a Harvard degree teacher, but they're still getting started).

My GPA according to the first institution is an UW 3.6. They evaluate it using straight-cut 1.0 2.0 3.0 4.0 options, with no such things as an A- or B+.
The latter institution considers these, and calculates my UW at 3.9, so I quite want to switch so I can have a better number on my application.

Is there any reason I shouldn't beyond the slight fall in prestige and worse councillor rec? In other words, what are the consequences of transfers, if any, in terms of college applications that may befall me?

Just by the way, I have a few friends in my new school, including the already-elected incumbent Secretary General of their MUN team among others, and have made a very-local name for being good at them that makes them vouch for me, so my EC’s and positions in them should not be harmed in the transfer.

I would stay at your current school. Many colleges recalculate GPA based on your transcript, so it’s not like lower grades magically disappear. My school calculates GPA very oddly, and I’m pretty sure that admissions committees disregarded this number and just looked at my transcript.
