I had a great time in highschool. I had my close friends, but also tried to be friends with almost everyone I could in my highschool, and the other ones around the city, which worked out great. Being an outgoing guy, it was easy for me to go from clique to clique without feeling weird. I partied almost every weekend, and now summer is going to be a blast.

As for college? I am sure it will only be better. Both times in my life were great, and I look forward to my future at UCSB.

UNLVChic10, people that went to my high school are pretty much the same way. Almost all still live in that rinky dink little town, are engaged/married/pregnant (def. not in that same order, always), and commute either to my college (35 minutes away) or to the local community college. I'm so glad I lived here and not at home. They all have their high school friends still, and I will be glad if I never see most of them again.

Weskid i loved your post as I will be there soon class of 2011. I hope to have same experience as you. I loved my HS and had a great group of friends, fantastic teachers and four years of interesting experiences. The diversity of Wes matches the diversity of my HS but in my high school it is even more diverse than Wesleyan. I can't wait until Aug.28th!!!

danalynne: Woot. Go Wes! I'm sure you will have a great time — basically everyone I know had a fantastic freshmen year (and those that didn't tended to have attitude problems that extended beyond Wes). And orientation is the funest thing ever. Foss Cross = great times.

PS. Over orientation you should totally go to one of the events at Alpha Delt. Because it is awesome. [/pimp. But seriously, even my roommate who didn't end up initiating had tons of fun at the events she went to there during orientation. Plus I will probably/hopefully be there and then we could meet in person without knowing it, and that would be shiny. Ok, I'm done now]

PPS. If you have any questions about Wes feel free to PM me…I love talking about the school!

High school had some good times. the good times were actually beyond good and they always will be. but i've been laying low lately. pretty much i've been done with high school since winter break. ready to leave.

High school sucked for me. College is better because there is a wider variety of people. More people means better luck meeting people you like. It's common sense. Also, there is no more busy work for the most part. You put in what you want to get out.

I liked high school because I had great friends and partied hard and the work was so much easier by comparison. College is a lot better but it's really different, almost apples and oranges.

The percentage of Caucasians is a lot higher in college and whether all of you admit it or not it's probably a major reason you like college more or less than high school.

W T F are you talking about.
Ur saying that college is better because there are more white people.
If thats what you are saying than ur a bigget.
I like diversity, and highschool classes are crap. College is tougher, more fun, and has more diversity.

and since when is white population higher in college than HS...
At least for top schools i think that is wrong. If i compared many great schools with my HS, they have way less whites, and much more everything else (which i like).

I think hitler was wrong when he thought us Caucasians were the best. Everyone is just as good

my friend who came back from his 1st year at Berkeley said hs was alot better. He said the relationships you have with friends arent as real because alot of the things youd o revolves around drinking or doing drugs or just partying. He said he missed just having friends you can call up and watch a movie with or just hang out with and get dinner.

Um, I had two non-white friends in high school. The races didn't mix AT ALL. In college, I can't even count how many I have... (I'm white). My ex-boyfriend is Hispanic, my old roommate is Filipino, I know so many international people and ethnic Americans... black, asian, indian... I hated how "white" my high school was. I love college partly because of the incredible diversity it exposed me to. Yes, my college is majority white, but that doesn't mean you can't meet people of other races at a majority white college or that I wouldn't want to meet people that weren't white.

whatever diesel, aryans white same diff...i mean my dad is aryn, my mom is dark skinned portugese, but still, in general just think about it, hitler wasnt even Aryan so in general, he basically meant whites. Its not like he would put himself in a concentration camps.

The people are so much more interesting in college. When I leave for breaks, I realize how much of a presence my college peers have been and how much impact they've made on me as a person. I didn't have that feeling with high school students... they just blended in (that was probably their goal anyway).

College is heaven compared to HS-- independence, intellectual freedom, MORE SLEEP, interesting people, interesting professors, interesting courses, mature friends, awesome living situation (apartment next year as a sophomore). College (at least my college) is the kind of environment where someone could choose to sit at a table full of strangers and make friends instantaneously. I think it's because of the open-minded mentality that college students tend to have. They're in college to try new things and become better people, so they do things that HS students consider out of the norm. There are so many moments (more meaningful than HS moments) that will make you think "Wow, I will remember this for the rest of my life."

I now look at the high-schoolers in the mall and am amused by their seeming lack of perspective. At that stage, many are primarily concerned about "being all that." I'm actually sad that many of them will not get to experience college, because it truly is (has been) a great experience.

None of you are Aryans unless you are of Persian / Indian / Mediterreanean descent. The present day Aryans are usually of that descent. The term 'Iran' literally means, Land of the Aryans. So quit calling yourselves what you aren't. You're white/Caucasian. Hitler didn't know what he was talking about

Ya easton is right. aryans created hinduism and drifted form central asia into india and the surrounding countries thousands of years ago.

Oh and isnt there a theory out there that every thread on a forum eventually brings up Hitler or the Nazis if it goes long enough. Hitler was a psychotic and drugged man (cocaine, and some crazy other drugs) for almost his entire life. His racism came from fear...fear that true caucasins would eventually become non-existant(low birth rate, interracial marriages ect.). Mixed with a crappy economy from the Weimar republic and war reparations, depressed Germans fell into his trap.

What luck for the rulers that men do not think.
-Adolf Hitler

I've hated high school to the point where the word "hate" itself is cliche. It's not strong enough. The teachers were horrible at what they taught, and what they taught was so g*ddam boring i could've slept all day. I think that the kids were very arrogant and exclusive to kids of their own nature, so it was really difficult to make friends. The friends i do have are amazing, and i love them. But, i've heard so many great things about college. i'm a little worried about the whole partying thing. i love dancing and stuff, but i am so not a drinker! aha
