Eek! Am I not going to get into college?

<p>I'm a sophmore and my GPA is currently 3.67. Yeah, I had a bad semester. Are my chances of getting into UCI completely ruined? Is there any thing I could do about it?</p>

<p>My parents are completely freaking out at me, they're constantly telling me I'm not going to get into college now... I have no life.</p>

<p>well, it depends what your school GPA point goes up to. My school's GPA cap for regular classes is 5.0 but for advanced classes is 6.0</p>

<p>Anyway.. that's my unweighted GPA, but I'm only in one AP class, so weighted is 3.78. My sister (who went to UCI) and my father keep on telling me that the only kids that get into UCI have 4.0 GPAs (or higher). They say that any B's, plus the C I got in the AP class have pretty much ruined me. My dad says I'm not getting my license anymore.</p>

<p>Does it matter that I'm an Asian girl? What would I have to do to maybe guarantee me a spot into UCI? Is it really as hard as my sister makes it out to be?</p>

<p>Of course you can still get into college!!:) UCI isn't the only good school out there, and I am sure many great schools would love to have you. (Sorry, I don't know much about UCI's standards for acceptance, so I can't really say much about you getting accepted there.) Just keep working hard and you will get there!</p>
