High weighted GPA, low unweighted GPA

oh my.

ok, so i just met up with my counselor today, and I found out that i have a very high weighted gpa (4.18), but a low unweighted gpa (3.41). This is my gpa for 10-11th grade (i still have to finish one more sem. of 11th grade).

Seriously, I want to go to UC Davis...

But I feel as if i may end up going to either riverside or santa cruz.

I am going to take my sats this saturday.

So..

Do colleges look at weighted or non weighted? I know uc's have their own system of grading.

I want to major in communications, preferably comm. director, or something in that field.

Also, what would you recommend my sat scores to be in order to have a higher chance at davis?

The reason why my weighted gpa is so high is because of all the aps and honors i'm taking (I'm not even sure honors are included..)

I live in southern California, near Irvine. (Next to UCI)

Help.

I’m just like you and I got accepted into Davis.

UW GPA is 3.48 and W is 4.03. But then again I’m a first gen college student & low income.

^ That’s weird

I have a 3.75W
3.7 UW

Same Problem

Weighted- 4.2

UW- 3.62

Unfortunately I only top 20% of my class which really screws me despite good test scores and great ECs

I don’t think Davis is that difficult to get into (although it’ll be more difficult this year because of budget cuts). My friend had a mediocre GPA and an 1800 SAT and he got into Davis.

Just score high on your SAT and do well on your essays.
