Highschool drinking

What do you guys think about drinking in high school are you for it or against it?

I’m pretty libertarian about the whole thing (and from Wisconsin), so I say: Let the people do what they want, but don’t expect me to pay for their mistakes.

Like this Ryan Dunn guy–lived like an idiot, died like an idiot. His fault and someone else died for it. What can I say?

I’ve never drank a sip of alcohol in my life and I don’t ever plan on doing so. It never interested me in the first place, and it’s just my way of feeling better than other people.

I am all for it, but unfortunately, parties don’t really happen in ap classes at my school. ;[

Just don’t expect me to partake in it with you.

I’m not saying I drink because I don’t I’m just curious as to everyone elses opinion about it
I know it’s about developmental issues but honestly I think that if at 18 you can buy cigarettes lottery ticket porn and can go into the military and potentially die for their country I think they are entitled to a drink if they please I have three friends fresh out of high school deploying within the next few months

Honestly, I wouldn’t smoke or drink because of the potential health risks.

I can see myself drinking when I’m older but I know I will never smoke my mom used to and I hated every second of it

I thought the 21 age limit had to do with the fact that your frontal lobe (judgment center) isn’t really developed until that age?

I wonder how many alcoholics used to say “I’m never going to drink”.

I’m completely against underage drinking

Personally, I don’t think there’s anything morally wrong with drinking in high school. In France, alcohol is legal for high schoolers. So, I’m not going to look down on the 17 year old who has one Budweiser at a party. However, I’m not going to do anything stupid.

Be responsible if you drink.

Then it isn’t a problem and nobody really has the right to judge you for your choices, especially if your choices don’t interfere with them.

This .

It helps people socialize, it is a good thing.

Doing some isn’t bad but I detest the stupid people who are always drinking/smoking/partying with drugs & alcohol. They’re the reason I have to sit through stupid drunk driving lectures

I think its fine. As long as its a social thing and people are just doing it to have fun it not a big deal. As it has been said before, the European countries allow beer around 16 and hard liquor at 18. As long as people are safe and don’t harm anyone its not something to fret over.

It does but I mean within reason I think it’s fine honestly I don’t think a beer or two every now and then will kill ya I mean when it gets to partying all the time and all that then its a different story. I mean I have never drank but that’s just how I see it as long as your responsible i don’t see a big deal

Agreed!

Like I am against drinking as a whole I don’t plan on ever drinking or anything.

it’s summertime… =)

It loosens people up and it really turns the party from being awk in beginning to fun (like you see in picturesssssss ha) but really I think you should know your limit unless you plan on getting hardxxxc0r3 drunk or something ahhaha. If you don’t know your limit and go overboard, it’s YOUR own fault. There are funny drunk stories and bad drunk stories lol I think someone would rather be known as a funny drunk than a rowdy one

I agree like when my boyfriend hangs out with me and a select couple of friends I just sit there and listen because those two or tree friends always have drunken stories which amuse me
As long as you know our limit do as you please
