Hillsdale or DePauw

someone please help I don't know which one has a better science program? can somebody give me a clue?

What "science" are you interested in?

well i'm gonna go to pre-med so basically biology chemistry and physics...

recent news article on science center renovation

<a href="http://www.hillsdale.edu/admissions/news/news_story.asp?iNewsID=955&strBack=%2Fadmissions%2Fnews%2Fnews%5Farchive%2Easp%5B/url%5D">http://www.hillsdale.edu/admissions/news/news_story.asp?iNewsID=955&strBack=%2Fadmissions%2Fnews%2Fnews%5Farchive%2Easp</a></p>

hey thanks ;)

My roommate and my wife's roommate were both going pre-med. Classes were very difficult I know, but some really good professors. Hillsdale just completed a huge renovation of their science labs (much needed).

Realize that if you do choose Hillsdale (which I strongly suggest), you will still have the liberal arts core cirriculum to complete which is significant. Some science types dislike this as it may seem tangential to what they really want to accomplish. All I can say is that based on experience, you will be glad you had it when it is all said and done.

One piece of advice my friend received from her father who is a doctor--find a minor that is outside of the science field if you plan on going on to med school. You will spend enough years of your life studying science, so pursue what you enjoy in undergrad. (She went on to be a German minor.) I thought it sounded like good advice--you'll be retaking many of the same classes in med school anyway! Hope this helps.

I recently read that the majors which score highest on the MCAT and LSAT are the Philosophy majors, not the science, math, etc. Probably because philosophers really learn how to think and have examined all the important issues of the ages.

Remember: there is almost no grade inflation at Hillsdale. And, while you may be an A student in high school, and even, perhaps at Flagship U, few are so at Hillsdale College.
