Hilltop Consultants... off-the-record info!!

Current Georgetown students,

I was recently accepted EA to the College. Georgetown is one of my top choices, so I’m likely to attend. I’m considering switching to MSB though if I go to GTown due to my recent interests in business.

So to the point of my post… Anyone know anything off-the-record about Hilltop Consultants, the student consulting group? I’ve read their website top to bottom, but they haven’t responded to the email of questions I sent to them a couple weeks ago, so I thought I might try College Confidential. Their work with non-profits seems awesome, and it seems like an all-around awesome club. The website says the acceptance rate is a whopping 11%!!! So yea, any insider info? Any idea what they mean specifically by “Management experience,” which 12 of the club’s 52 members have? Any suggestions of a productive business activity (a summer program or anything really) that could do this summer, because I’m totally lost with that as well? Any info/suggestions are appreciated

Thanks!

I know close to every member of them, and they probably accept less than 11% of people now. In general, you have to be smart, show a passion for non-profits, and know how to do consulting work. In general, if you have decent internship experience, can write well, and have read Case In Point, you have a better shot than most. If not, there are a million different clubs at Georgetown you can join, don’t get too cut up about not getting into Hilltop.
