Hispanic Scholarship Fund?

I have been wondering whether to apply for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund because I am only half Hispanic. I don't know how the scholarship will look at that, because I am not a full Hispanic American. In terms of cultural relation, I like most of the food and music, and my family celebrates some of the holidays, but my overall culture is more American and than Hispanic. I can't speak Spanish, but I am currently in my second year of study at my high school. I don't know what to do. Being multiracial is weird because I would sort of feel guilty if I took a scholarship from someone who was more Hispanic than me (sounds weird I know).

By the way, my parents have a low income (less than $40,000), so its not like I haven't faced some economic hardship and a lack of educational opportunities.

i think you could apply, but if you haven't been majorly connected to the hispanic part of your culture you probably shouldn't. But i don't think that you would get it over somebody "more hispanic" then you. Especially when you don't speak spanish.
