Hey, I’m taking the AP World History exam on May 15th.
My question is specifically about the Comparative and CCOT essays.

On the rubrics, one of the requirements for getting basic core points is having, for example, “6 pieces of historical evidence”

What is considered “historical evidence” exactly?

Thanks

Basically just using outside sources to prove your thesis. Say for example you are writing a CCOT on Rome from 600 BC to 600 AD. Historical evidence in this topic involve talking about the transition from republic to empire, the Pax Romana beginning with Augustus Caesar, some of their achievements (i.e. roads, aqueducts, literature, poems), the “Bread and Circuses” idea, the split between the churches, and maybe their decline. Although these things aren’t necessarily changes and continuities, they may be things that you discuss in the essay to prove a particular change or continuity.
