Historical Perspectives in AMSCO

Hi. To put it to you bluntly, I’m reviewing through AMSCO, and I don’t want to waste any time on things I don’t need to read. Should I bother w/ the Historical Perspectives at the end of the chapter? Did any of you get a five without reading them?

Thank you in advance!

Thanks but kinda too late for a new book for my liking.
So, err, back to the original question: Historical Perspective, do I need it?

im studying now so im not sure how to answer your question but i guess it would be helpful if you got an essay topic that somehow relates to these historical perspectives. Because you can always add fluff about both sides then take a side.

No, they aren’t necessary. They help you put everything into perspective and tie up the whole chapter, but they aren’t necessary.

You get more context on what was going on in the time period and it really helps you remember the information better.

It helps you remember better plus it takes a full minute to read the three or four paragraphs. In the time it took to boot up the laptop, sign in, type this up, read responses, and consider them… you could have read them all

I agree. You should read them, because they don’t take that long and it helps you understand the chapter as a whole better.

I’ve had AMSCO since the start of the year and I regret not reading them.
