The first time I took the GRE I scored 440v/640q/3.5AW. I just took the exam today and earned 580v/380Q/AW? I am applying for History programs this year, focusing on middle east history. I pretty much feel like I shouldn't bother because my Q score is so bad, even though my V clearly improved (though it's not great). My UG GPA is 2.9, but my MA GPA is 3.7. My writing sample will have Arabic primary and secondary sources. My LORs should be great. Should I not bother? ... Thanks for the input ...

Your MA trumps the GRE. And they don’t even look at the Q unless it’s for fellowships. If you apply to a department that guarantees funding, don’t worry.
