Hi,
I'm a freshman at Northwestern who was going to major either in econ or industrial engineering when I came here. But just after my first quarter, I'm still hesitant to decide if this is what I really want to study.

I'm looking to pursue a career path in either management consulting or investment banking, and I enjoy econ - I thought about double majoring in Econ/Math, but while this is a great combination I feel that it is somewhat abudant in the market.

Besides, while in college I really want to study something that will teach me to write/speak coherently along with some quantitive skills(math major), and history is something I really do enjoy.

I still don't know if I'm going in the right direction, especially given my career asipiration - Northwestern has very pre-professional atmosphere and students are very career oriented; I feel relatively sided out.

Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
