HKU vs. HKUST for Study Abroad

<p>Hi all!</p>

<p>I currently attend UC Berkeley and plan to study abroad in Hong Kong this following school year. I am trying to gather as much information as I can to have the best experience there! Your input would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>I am curious about the pros and cons of HKU and HKUST. I am planning to study business there. Can any local people talk about the reputations of the two universities- how is the social life, environment (location), activities, academics, and general reputation of the schools? I am also interested to know which dorms are the most social and best to live in! I would really appreciate insight from anyone who has studied in any of these universities. Thank you soo much!</p>

<p>I would say HKUST’s business program is much better than HKU’s
Although HKU has a better fame and ranks higher than HKUST,
it doesn’t focus that much on business area.
CUHK has the best business school in HK and HKUST has the second best.
You have 80% chance to get into Big 4 (Of course the HK Big4)</p>
