Lol, funny yet understandable:)

:( it makes me sad when people think mun is all about competition

Hm, my school does not have a MUN program or anything similar. Is it really necessary to have a faculty advisor come with you? I'm not sure whether someone would agree to fly to Boston with me. -.-

Nope, advisors are not required.
You can apply on your own, but I doubt they are going to accept you if you haven't any other MUNs under your belt. It's very competitive and the level is **extremely **high from what I know.

avantgardener, unfortunately the MUN at my school is very competitive and there is nothing i can do about it.

and what committee are you on debate-addict?

dunno yet!
Will find out in three to four weeks..

Thank you for the information! I have attended a simulation similar to the MUNs and I'm going to chair a committee at the Vienna International Model United Nations in August (which is the only MUN world-wide that takes part in "real" UN-buildings). ;-)

Yep, and the food is amazing ;)

debate-addict, harvard MUN didnt give food ...? or maybe you are talking about something else ...

my school always tries to get everyone to eat together so we miss out on free food oppurtunites :(

I was referring to VIMUN that danpo mentioned :)
