Hello I am currently a student in the Hofstra University whos taking a few remedial classes. I have been thinking about giving Forhdam a second chance to apply. I applied at first but didnt get in. But am trying to give it a shot once again as a transfer. I was thinking which is better to apply in the spring or fall of next year 2012. I really like Fordham plus I dont really need housing since I live a few train stops away from the Rose Hill campus, I know campus housing is very limited. I did horrible on the SAT like very horrible. I was wondering would this affect my chances of getting in this upcoming spring?

Your low SAT scores could affect your chances, but you would at the very least need a very solid GPA at Hofstra for a minimum full year-load of courses (30 credits) to have a chance. My brother transferred from Baruch to Fordham a few years ago with a 3.7 or 3.8 GPA…his SAT score was 1850, for which he was wait-listed and then later rejected when he initially applied.
