Hofstra vs. Temple vs. Drexel

I’ve been accepted to the film programs in these universities. What are the pros and cons to each one? Also, which one has the best network of connections and internships within the film industry? I would like to know information about these universities other than what is available on their respective websites. Please do help!

There are so many movies filmed in NYC it would seem that Hofstra would be your best bet.

I’d say it depends on preference. At Hofstra’s student day I remember them talking about an alumni who now works for NBC & he got interships. Hofstra seemed to emphasize performing arts more when I went there.

Drexel has the best internships & co-ops, hands down. Although Hofstra & Temple has them.

I toured all three, & Drexel was my top choice. Followed by Temple & Hofstra. I got accepted only to Hofstra out of the three.

Are you in-state for Temple? If so, choose them. If not, I’d say Drexel or Hofstra.

These school’s aren’t cheap. Expect to pay around $32K-$37K for them. Make sure you have affordable safeties

@mommyrocks Yeah that was one of the major factors…location. However, I wasn’t sure how good their program is… compared to Temple.

@ASJackson923 Are you currently attending Hofstra? Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what are you majoring in? And no, I’m not in-state for Temple, but even out-of-state costs are cheaper compared to Drexel and Hofstra. Academically, Temple and Hofstra seemed to offer more in my major; I was considering Drexel because of the co-ops and not really because of the classes.

No. It’s a bit too expensive for me, so I won’t be going to Hofstra. My intended major is Computer Science.

Ok. Then. A lot of people say Temple is better but it comes down to price & preference

Temple is the best school of the three, but Drexel is close behind

Agree ^

Ah, what makes it the best school out of the three?
