However, I currently have permanent residency (Green Card), and have lived in the States for the past year and a half. Would I be considered an international applicant? <p>Do Aos really look for “hooks”? I feel that I am well rounded and willing to try new things and I would hopefully make the school I get into proud, but I am "hook"less ;( </p>
<p>Also I feel like I am bragging when I write about myself. I assume it is a fine line between bragging and informing, or do you understand this when you are looking at application? Up until this summer I never thought to write what I have done down.</p>
<p>Also can you tell the difference between kids who have consultants and kids who are muddling through this process and does it make a huge difference? I am sooooo muddling through this!</p>

A question I have found on a couple of applications is: “To what other schools is application being made?” Can you comment on how this information is used? Is it for schools to see who their competitors are? Is it to ‘predict’ yieldability (& if so, could this impact admission decision)? Is it all of the above?</p>
<p>Also, in terms of disciplinary actions, what are some examples of dealbreakers? What are AO’s looking for here? </p>

<p>When a school has a deadline by say… January 10th, does that mean everything must be filed away by January 10th or that it must be postmarked by than?</p>

<p>Hi I sadly got a 47% avg. on the ssat but the rest of my app looks great I am going to retake:im applying to exeter 9th grade year and i was wondering if my ethnicities ( German 50%, Lebanese 25%, and Italian 25%) would be beneficial to my chances of getting accepted. Applying for financial aid. Gets high B to Average A. ( Although at my school which may differ from others has A’s starting at 93% and B’s at 85%). I write fantastic essays( in the process of completion). The interviewer said i had done a very good job. Also, honors every quarter last year and Cum Laude 1st and only quarter this year so far and every quarter in 6th grade. My teachers said that their reccs were going to be excellent. Lastly, my extra-curriculars are Piano 7-8 years, cheerleading 2 years, Student Government 2 years, Track 4 years, and Ballet 1 year. When the AO came to my school they said they were looking for students from the midwest which includes me. With this as my app do i have a chance and I think my avg. for the ssat may go up 10% or so, so plz consider that too. Thanks in advance for any responses!</p>
