<p>On this one, the big aspect of the school is really pushing me away from it and the fact that I truly like Michigan and Northwestern better and would be happier at one of those schools than at State.</p>
<p>reese414, thanks for the information. While we will definitely look at Mich. State, I have a feeling that the big school aspect will really kill it for her. Plus the fact that Michigan is not known for its sunny, warm weather. </p>
<p>She had wanted to apply to the University of Michigan, but just ran out of steam at the end. The thought of writing more essays and asking for more recommendations didn't appeal to her. </p>
<p>Anyway, she is still hoping for some positive news from Northwestern, USC or Emory. Now we just play the waiting game.</p>
<p>haha... I can't spell definitely. That's really sad on a college discussion forum and considering the fact that I'm in AP English (don't tell my English teacher that I did that). It's all downhill from here.</p>

No, Michigan is not known for the sunny, warm weather even though it does get really warm in the summers. Basically, the weather here is the same as Chicago's for the most part.</p>
