Holds on my record?

<p>Just was checking my OneStart this weekend as I prepare for orientation this week. I noticed that in the "Holds On My Record" section of my OneStart homepage, it says my advising has been stopped. Is this a major problem?</p>

<p>I've complete the required financial literary course, the mandatory foreign language placement test, and I had planned to complete the math test today. However, the math test doesn't seem mandatory online (it's not a required task on our FYE to-do list). According to their records, they have yet to receive my final HS transcript. </p>

<p>Should I be worried? I'll be meeting my advisor Tuesday/Wednesday and I would absolutely hate not having made the proper arrangements beforehand to clear this up if it is an issue.</p>

<p>If it says “Advising Hold”, that means you can’t register for classes until you meet with an advisor, not that your advising has been stopped. The ‘hold’ is on registering for classes–can be for financial, disciplinary, academic, or advising reasons.</p>

<p>Ok, that makes sense. As they require all freshman to meet with their advisor during NSO, I wouldn’t be able to register myself into classes. </p>
