Holidays at Chapman

Thought this would be nice for prospective students and also for faraway parents wondering how their kids are faring. Tis the season...tree-lighting and other holiday events on campus.

Chapman University's Winterfest turned the campus into a snowy holiday scene (check out the photo gallery).

Love the snowflake lighting on the buildings. Wish I could see it in person.

We flew down from Oregon to see the (2) Christmas concerts. I was blown away, they were both wonderful (son is in orchestra).

Anybody know if a video will be made available for sale?

D said president Doti even dressed as a reindeer and pulled a sleigh! She said the only glitch was that kids in the library hadn’t been warned that fireworks were going to be shot off from the top of the building and they had no idea what was going on when the frightening noises started!

And, oh man! The undie run pix are in! Nice touch with the scarf and hat, StrangeBro! You look like one of the warmer ones!

Ahahaha, thank you Shakes! I was wondering if anyone I knew read the OC Weekly. That scarf was a lifesaver, especially when it started pouring down rain.

So, Strange, since you are a new freshman at Chapman, why not let the new people on here know how it’s going for you? (I only see vets on this thread but you could start another.) Other than loyally participating in the university’s time honored traditions such as the undie run, what are you up to? You could talk about classes, dorm life, greek life, friends, do you get off campus much, etc. Do you know many students who are OOS? Looks like most folks on here are OOS Dodge applicants, but as a theater major, tell us about that side of it. Were you able to get cast in any productions? Is the new performing arts center still a giant hole in the ground?
