holy crap what is the curve on the bio AP??? it's pretty much the hardest practice AP i've ever taken in my life.

The actual AP exam is not difficult at all, if you studied well during the course of the year. There isn't any esoteric material on it. Are you using Barron's or the Collegboard released exam? Or neither? If you answer yes to the former, than these two tests are significantly harder than LAST year's MC and FRQs. I'm almost certain that Collegeboard will make their bio test harder this year. I know that around 20% of the nation score 5s so that curve is generous I would say. Maybe 90 points or somewhere around there? (Is that too high?)

did you take the 1994 test cni? i thought that one was really hard.

the bio exam i took last year was pretty dang hard, m/c wise, but essay wise it was frickin easy.

How do you know if this year's bio exam will be harder than previous years'? And is it really possible that a cutoff for a 5 will be 90 points, which is over 70%? :(

in 2003, you only needed 92/150 raw score for a 5; multiply essays/40 by 1.5 and multiply MC score by around .75

in 1999 you only needed 86/150.

That's weird. The total points should be 135 instead of 150 because the maximum points possible is 135. Cliffs and PR say the cutoff for a 5 is about 82 out of 135 points.

my bad....

They changed the test this year. There are now only 100 MC questions instead of 120. BE WARNED.

I am just so screwed for this test. Why must there be so many details to memorize? ARGHHHH

i got a five last year and i thought it was incredibly easy. dont stress too much...do practice from princeton review. i was doing those and hitting 85% and i bet i was WAY above the cutoff for a five on the actual test...i bet i got over 90%.

Any prediction about what topic is going on the FR for this year exam?

my guess: meiosis.

with all of my exams, im basically gonna have a weekend to study. o joy.

I am almost certain there will be a "Design an experiment to..." question. Almost positive. There hasn't been one in a really long time.

I'm screwed if there is one.

I have a week to study and have the sparknotes powerpack, using the flashcards. I also have the Cliffs which I'm going to reread. Should that be enough (I'm half self-studying, I'm in an honors bio class.)

I think its easy (MC) but im gonna have probs with the essays, esp the labs...im scared now lol
