"The Admission Committee was thoroughly impressed by your strong and consistent record of top academic achievement and your genuine intellectual curiosity which were praised time and again by your teachers and counselors. Your extracurricular accomplishments also reveal your commitment to the ideals of service, compassion, and personal integrity which are the foundations of the Holy Cross mission, and a common trait among members of the Holy Cross family.
You have distinguished yourself in your school and your community as a top scholar, a model citizen, and a leader. We are impressed with the achievements and accolades you have diligently earned, and are confident that you will make the most of the gifts and opportunities with which you have been blessed."
Son rejected…Surprised. 3.7 UW/ 4.2W, 30 ACT, 4yr multi-sport varsity athlete, honors-level vocalist (bass), IB courses, international Catholic volunteer with over 6 years of documented service, out-of-state but born in New England, tons of family in and around MA, and would’ve made a great Crusader. I guess he’ll do so elsewhere…
@NYcollege2022 I got $12000 also. I didn’t even know there was a supplement and I didn’t interview or visit. It was just too busy in the fall and I live close by so I’ve been to the campus.

looking forward to meeting you all~ congrats to those who got accepted and to those who didn’t, there’s still hope for you I got rejected from my 1st choice the same time I got CHC’s decision. CHC was like an unexpected present.
Accepted

I think the key here though was that I went for a visit and did an interview with my admissions counselor. Additionally, I kept him updated after I applied of what I was doing, any awards I received, etc.
