Okay, so just yesterday, I found out that I have the chance to go to Las Vegas with the Sunshine Kids Foundation, which provides events and trips and stuff for kids and teenagers who have cancer or have survived cancer. They have an itinerary filled up with stuff from the time we leave til we get back, and it should be pretty awesome, plus everything is completely free. EVERYTHING. Buuut, I just found this out yesterday, and I would leave this Sunday (they had someone who wasnt able to go and I was chosen to replace their spot at the last minute). So, of course, I would have to miss all next week of school (actually just 4 days because of Easter 4 day weekend). I would lose all my spring final exemptions (Im a senior, and we're allowed to exempt all our Spring finals if we meet certain requirements, one being we cant miss more than 3 days of school) and of course, I would fall a week behind in all my classes and would have a ton of work to make up and get caught up with. Im pretty sure Ill definitely go after I make sure its ok with my principal, but then Id be missing a week of school. What would you guys do?

Do it.

You've had 12 years of school already... missing 4 days isn't going to make a difference.

Vegas for free! How could you pass that up?

go! go! go! chance of a lifetime...well, at least, when you're a teen :)

Ya, im set on going as long as I get permission from my school, I just wanted to see if the opinions of people here would sway my mind at all. Guess not. :)

GO! I mean, I am almost /positive/ your principal will let you exempt spring finals despite excess absences.

A week of school? Your senior year? Psh. Get the work in advance and relax ;).

Do it!

In 20 years, you won't remember those four school days, but you will remember the amazing time you had in Vegas.

Yea, seriously, it's not your fault you had cancer.
